The Zinger is not just your average power chair; it is a foldable electric wheelchair that combines functionality with a touch of fun. Equipped with dual-lever steering, reminiscent of a zero-turn lawn mower, this innovative design offers unmatched responsiveness and nimbleness. Maneuvering through tight spaces and making sharp turns is a breeze, thanks to its remarkable 24" turning radius - a staggering 50% smaller than other conventional chairs.

Journey Health Zinger Lightweight Folding Power Wheelchair

Whether indoors or outdoors, the Zinger excels on any surface, be it grass, dirt, or even small gravel. Its robust construction and powerful motor enable you to explore your surroundings with confidence. With three adjustable speed settings ranging from 0-6 mph, you can effortlessly adapt to your desired pace. The convenient reverse mode with its accompanying indicator light ensures you can navigate with ease in any direction.

Journey Health Zinger Lightweight Folding Power Wheelchairs

Portability is key, and the Zinger excels in this aspect. Weighing in at just 47.7 lbs, including the battery (42.7 lbs without), this foldable electric wheelchair is exceptionally lightweight compared to traditional power chairs that weigh over 100 lbs. Folding the chair is a breeze, requiring only a single pull release cable. Once folded, it conveniently fits into the backseat or trunk of a car and can be effortlessly wheeled around like a piece of luggage.

Journey Health Zinger Lightweight Folding Wheelchair

The Zinger is not just practical; it is designed to fit seamlessly into everyday life. With a width of 25 inches, it easily passes through all standard ADA door frames of 32 inches. It can effortlessly conquer ADA-compliant ramps with inclines up to 5°, and if needed, ramps with inclines up to 10°. The armrests are thoughtfully designed to fit below ADA-compliant tables and desks, and they can also be removed or adjusted to suit your preference. The cushioned foam seat ensures comfort during extended use, while the mesh material promotes breathability.

Journey Health Zinger Lightweight Power Wheelchair

Traveling is a breeze with the Zinger. It is FAA approved, allowing you to use it in airports and take it right up to your gate. The battery is carried on board, while the Zinger is treated as oversized luggage at the gate. With a maximum speed of 6 mph, you can effortlessly keep up with friends and explore new destinations. Safety is paramount, which is why the Zinger is equipped with rear anti-tip wheels for enhanced stability over bumps and inclines. The swing-away footplate ensures easy and safe exit from the chair.

Lightweight Folding Power Wheelchair

The rechargeable Panasonic brand 36 V 6.6Ah lithium-ion battery provides up to eight miles of use on a single charge. Charging the battery is a breeze; you can charge it without removing it or remove and charge it separately if needed. With a charging time of four hours or less, you can quickly get back on the move.

Lightweight Folding Power Wheelchairs

The Journey Zinger is all about user-friendly operation. Simply press and hold the power button for three seconds to activate your Zinger. The speed selector button allows you to toggle through the three available speed settings, while the lighted speed indicators keep you informed about your current speed mode. Where can I use the Zinger?

The Zinger can be used just about anywhere, indoors or out. It can handle a number of different terrains, such as grass, carpet, dirt, and more.

Will it fit through my doorways?

In most cases, yes. Check to be certain your doorway openings are at least 27" wide. Any smaller than that will require you to get off and fold the Zinger in order to pass through. Businesses (mall, restaurants, etc.) are required to be ADA compliant, with doorways a minimum of 32" wide—no problem for the Zinger.

What is the Zinger's weight limit?

The Zinger Chair is capable of carrying a person weighing up to 275 lbs.

Does it come in a larger size?

The Zinger is available in only one size. See the Product Specifications section for specific dimensions. The maximum user weight limit is 275 lbs.

I'm not sure if I'm strong enough to operate the handles.

Very little force is needed to operate the Zinger Chair on level ground. In fact, just the weight of your arms is usually enough on smooth surfaces. Driving on grass or rough surfaces may require slightly more force.

I only have one good hand. Is the Zinger for me?

Operation of the Zinger Chair requires the use of both arms and hands; however, we offer an alternative product for those whose dexterity is limited to one arm or hand. It's called the Zoomer Chair, and while it includes most of the same great features and benefits of the Zinger Chair, it is a one-handed, joystick-controlled chair. The joystick can even be installed on either side of the chair.

Is a Zinger right for me if I am handicapped or disabled?

While people use the Zinger for many different reasons, the Zinger Chair is a personal electric vehicle. The Zinger Chair is not intended for individuals fully restricted to a sitting position. You must be able to get in and out of the chair.

What’s included with the Zinger Chair?

The Zinger Chair will arrive fully assembled out of the box. It will include the chair, a battery, a charger, and two keys (for securing the battery in place). In addition, it will include the hex key needed should you decide to remove the armrests.

Will the Zinger Chair fit under a desk or table?

Whether you are at a restaurant having dinner or just pulling up to your desk to get some work done, one of those great unique features of the Zinger Chair is that it easily fits under most desks and tables. Since the armrests are just 25" off the ground, you just pull right up as you would in a regular chair to any standard table or desk, which is generally 28" to 30" high. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) dictates that to be compliant, public seating must be a minimum of 27" from the floor to the bottom of the table surface.

Can I take it on the plane?

Yes, and here are a few things you need to know before taking your Zinger on a plane. Your Zinger should qualify as free baggage with most airlines, but you can call prior to your trip to make sure. You can ride your Zinger all the way up to the gate and down the jetway. As you get to the end of the jetway, you will need to remove the Zinger battery from the back of the chair, fold your Zinger, and hand it to a flight attendant to stow under the plane. Take the battery onto the plane with you to your seat. Be sure to contact your specific airline to ask for their procedures for transporting a battery-powered vehicle, and see your Zinger Chair USA User Manual for more info.

Does the Zinger have reverse mode?

The Zinger Chair does have a powered reverse, but it's almost always easiest to back out simply by pushing your feet against the ground, or your hands against a table or wall as you would in a rolling office chair.

Can I manually push the Zinger?

The Zinger Chair can easily be pushed around by the user when not riding in the chair.

        Can I remove the armrests?

Yes, should you choose to remove the armrests (installed by default), the hex key tool needed to remove them is included in the box.

        Is the footplate adjustable?

The swinging footplate is not adjustable; however, the Zinger is designed to fit people of most sizes.

Is the seat or backrest adjustable?

The seat and backrest are not adjustable. Some Zinger owners have chosen to add an additional cushion.

Can the Zinger be used on heavily padded or thick carpet?

Customers who are closer to the Zinger's weight limit of 275 lbs may find that the Zinger is a little more difficult to use when operating on the lowest speed setting on very thick or heavily padded carpet. The solution is to simply change the speed setting to "2," which will increase the ability of the Zinger to move around on these types of surfaces without significantly increasing speed.

How long will the battery last on a single charge?

Depending on usage (speed, weight, etc.) the Zinger Chair's battery will last up to eight miles of use.

How long does the battery last before replacing it?

It depends on the usage and conditions. The battery on average lasts for several years for many of our customers.

How long to charge the battery?

A charger is included, and the battery can be charged in or out of the chair. Charging takes four hours or less depending on the level of power already used. With a range of up to eight miles, most Zinger owners rarely run the battery all the way down in a single day.

How do I know if I need to charge the battery?

There is a battery indicator located on the control panel that tells you the battery life.

Should I buy a spare battery?

The range of eight miles was tested on a continuous level course. With hills, stops, and turns, you should get around five to six miles per charge. If you expect to travel farther in a single day, a spare battery is recommended. It's also great to have a spare charged battery on hand to ensure that your Zinger Chair is always ready to go.

Is the battery included in the weight?

Yes. The 47 lbs includes the four-pound battery, which locks into the Zinger with a key.

Will the charger work in foreign countries?

Yes. It will operate on 110V or 220V, but you will need an inexpensive plug converter to fit the outlets of your foreign destination.
